Emergency relief

OUR INITIATIVES

When a hurricane hits, the difference between life and hardship is often measured in hours, not weeks. Families lose power, water, shelter and the basics of daily life all at once — and the communities we reach are frequently the ones other organisations take longest to get to, or don't reach at all. Emergency Relief is our promise of speed: containers, generators, medical supplies and household essentials moved fast, straight into the hands of the people who need them.

Hurricane Beryl response

Our founding emergency response — immediate relief for Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique after the most devastating storm to hit the tri-island state in generations.

What we did: Distributed water through Project Aqua Carib, delivered essential supply items via regional partners in Barbados and Trinidad and international supporters in the UK and US, and reached households across Carriacou and Grenada through direct container distribution.

Impact: 200,000+ bottles of water and 2,000+ essential supply items delivered across three islands.

Hurricane Melissa response

A three-pronged emergency operation launched within days of Hurricane Melissa's landfall in Jamaica, built on the systems refined during our Beryl response.

What we did: Shipped emergency relief supplies from Miami — household goods, hygiene items, water and children's supplies — mobilised UK donation hubs and diaspora partners, and distributed generators and medication direct to affected parishes.

Impact: USD 700K+ delivered to Jamaica in relief, recovery and rebuilding support since landfall.
