OUR INITIATIVES

What makes the Caribbean the Caribbean isn't just its land — it's its culture, its roots, its people. Community is where we go beyond aid and into partnership: protecting heritage, building trust with communities others have overlooked, and creating something that belongs to the people who live there, long after we've moved on to the next response.

Project Tripoint - The Maroon Eco Village & Heritage Project

A community-owned eco-village and heritage project in development turning years of recovery work into a permanent asset for environment, culture and income.

What we did: Built deep trust through our relief and recovery work in Accompong; now scoping a community-owned eco-village, Maroon Heritage Museum, and value-added enterprise line in partnership with Accompong leadership.

Impact intended: Protecting 74,700 hectares of Cockpit Country — Jamaica's largest natural forest and the source of an estimated 40% of the nation's fresh water.
